STATISTICS • Every 9 seconds in the US a woman is assaulted or beaten • Only 16% of rapes are reported to the authorities • 4 out of 10 teens inflict self injury • Cops claim that turning a blind-eye to an overly-aggressive and heavy-handed colleague is the norm within the criminal system • About 9 out of 10 LGBTQI teens have reported being bullied at school within the past year because of their sexual orientation • 91.5% of LGBTQI students report hearing homophobic remarks, such as “faggot,” “dyke” or the expression “that’s so gay” frequently or often
