  4. Sedentary Lifestyle - • Requiring much sitting or not physically active • Twice as likely to develop coronary artery disease • 60% adults not physically active on a regular basis.

  5. Poor Nutrition • 50% Americans have blood cholesterol above 200 • 32 million Americans are obese. • Follow MyPlate- guideline created by the US Dept of Health describing healthy eating habits

  6. Drug & Alcohol Abuse • 11 million Americans meet criteria alcohol & drug abuse or dependence. • 1 of every 750 newborns have fetal alcohol syndrome. • 50% deaths from car crashes, fires, drowning, homicides & suicides result of alcohol intoxication.
