Adaptations: • Have solid flippers to swim fast • Have beaks that grab food • Their blubber protects them from the cold • Use their beaks to defend their nests • Swallow their food whole
Food Chain: • Eat fish, squid, krill • Leopard seals, eagles, snakes, and foxes eat them • Are carnivores
Interesting Facts: • Some stay in the water for many months at a time • Rock hoppers can hop five feet high • A barb is something sharp and pointy like a hook • Most penguins live to be ten to fifteen years old • Blubber is fat right underneath a penguins skin
