Library Settings Also known as: • Organizational Unit Settings • Org Unit Settings • YAOUS... Another Org Yet Unit Setting
What's an Organizational Unit? • A Consortium • A Library • One Branch of a Library
Under the Hood Library Settings are stored in the Evergreen database and filed by Organizational Unit Library Settings are inherited from "Parent" Units, but "Child" Units can have settings which will take precedence
Examples of Library Settings • Visible and Preferred Fields in Patron Registration/Edit Screen • Horizontal vs. Vertical Patron Display • Select Bills by default on Patron Bills Screen • Hide fields in the Copy Editor • Check validity of patron email addresses
User Settings Preferences that go with the login you use for the staff client User settings follow the user from workstation to workstation
