Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star • Challenge: Using Noteflight, can you compose this song using the 6 notes you know so far? (Clarinet example: C, D, E, F, G, A) • Check your work: pg. 11, #35 • Play along • Challenge: Using GarageBand, can you record yourself playing this piece? • Can you add at least one loop to go along with your recording? Here is an example. • Listen to the recording you made of yourself. What are some things you did well? What are some things you can improve on?

Theme and Variations • What is a theme and variations? • Play “Baa, Baa, Black Sheep” (pg. 18, #69) • Hint: This song uses the same notes as “Twinkle”! • Play along • Challenge: Using Noteflight, create at least one more variation for “Baa, Baa, Black Sheep.” Then, using GarageBand, record yourself playing your variation on your instrument. • Challenge: Using the Internet, can you find other songs that use a theme and variations?
