Part 1: Backing up HTC One Data to Your Computer Download HTC Sync Manager from its official site. Once it is done, you can install the freeware to back up data of your HTC phone. 1.Connect your HTC One A9/M9 or other HTC devices to computer via a USB cable, HTC Sync Manager will automatically open. You can stop it auto-running by going to “Home” > “Summary”, and disable the option “Open HTC Sync Manager when a phone is connected”. Note: It might happen that your HTC device cannot be recognized by the computer. Check here to solve the problem. 2.Click “Transfer & Backup” under the Home page, and then you can see the interface showed below. Just hit “Back up now”. When the backup is finished, click “OK” to end it.
Part 2: Restoring Data from Computer to Your HTC One Now that you have a backup for your HTC phone, you can easily and quickly restore data from the backup to your mobile device, regardless the same one or a new one. 1.Connect HTC device to computer. Under “Backup & Restore”, click “Restore”. Choose a backup file to restore from. You can choose whether to replace existing content of your phone with content from the backup file. 2.Click “Restore Now” to begin restoring backup to your HTC One. After restoration, you can choose whether to keep the backup file or just delete it.
