Team Structure BOYS’ ACADEMY U9 & U10 GIRLS’ ACADEMY U9 & U10 U9: 3 teams of 12; 2 squads play in NCSL; 1 squad plays “up” in rec U10: 3 teams of 12; 2 squads play in NCSL; 1 squad plays in MSI Both U9 & U10 play 7-a-side games U9: One large pool of 22-24 players; each weekend this group is reshuffled for 2 games; both squads play “up in rec U10: 3 teams of 12; 2 teams play in WAGS; 1 team plays in MSI Both U9 & U10 play 7-a-side games

Tryout Schedule – BOYS • U9 & U10 May 31, June 2, June 4 – Carter Barron • U11 & U12 June 2, June 9 – Palisades • U13 & U14 June 7, June 14 – Palisades • First age group from 4-6 p.m. • Second age group from 6-8 p.m.

Spring 2010 Tryout Notification • Player selections will be posted on Stoddert website by Team Name and Player Tryout Number by June 11. • Selected players will be e-mailed and asked to register online. Online registration secures players’ roster spots. • Those players not selected may be contacted later in the summer if roster slots open (i.e., if selected players decline spots/decide not to play). • If there are questions regarding the tryouts, please contact Age Group Directors (contact information on website).
Organizational Meeting • Team parents meet with their coaches in June • Coach sets out player training & tournament expectations & parent expectations • Coach picks a parent manager • Manager administers the team; the coach trains the players • Manager is supported by club to roster and run team according to Stoddert & travel league rules • Manager must delegate tasks so everyone gets involved
If the Player is not Selected Don’t Panic – Players develop at different rates • Wait list • Summer camps • Fall & Spring Weekly Skills Clinics • Open tryouts each spring
