  1. How to Make a New City Feel Home It is both exciting and emotionally exhausting to move to a new city. On the one hand there is excitement to explore the new place and meet new people while on the other you have to leave the long cherished space you called home. It can sometimes be very challenging also to adapt the ways of living of a new city. Therefor moving to a new place is a mixed bag of surprises and gloominess. Here is the list of the tips that you need to follow to make the new city feel like a home: Unpack The very first task you need to take up after moving in is the task of unpacking. This task could take from few days to a month depending on your will to get rid of those moving boxes. Try to stay calm and cool during this process as much as possible. First of all try to unpack the items that you are going to require early or in other words, the necessities. You can arrange them in sequence of clothes, kitchen, bathroom and electronics etc.

  2. Use Online Resources and Social Media Once you have settled partly in the house, you can use the internet and social media etc to connect with the new people. You already must have done a lot of research about the area and locality you are going to move in before moving in. You can also use the local blogs, community media and news channels etc to find out the recent events happening in the city. Through them you can meet a lot of new people and connect with them. Explore If it is possible and your health condition allows you then try to explore the city by walking around. Try to explore your neighborhood on every holiday or weekend by visiting restaurants, shopping complex or simply just sitting in a café and absorbing the vibes of the city. The more you explore the city the better you will fall in love with it. Connect With People There is no fixed formula of connecting with people in a city which you have just moved in. The best thing you can do to yourself is being open and connecting to the new people. It will help you greatly to form good connections, as somebody greatly said that communication is the key to connection. About Author: Ekta is an expert business analyst.
