  2. Problem of the Day • Using your journal and the provided list (-3, 4), (5, 4), (2, -4), (-6, -4), plot the ordered pairs and draw lines to connect the dots. What shape have you made? • Changing the fewest points on the grid, transform your drawing into a rectangle and write its ordered pairs.

Plotting Points with the TI-73 Calculator • Clean up the graphing function first: Y= Clear • Turn off plots: Up arrow Enter Down arrow • Clear lists: List Up arrow Clear Enter • Enter Ordered Pairs: List Up arrow (go to list one for X values) Numeral Enter (repeat, one numeral at a time) (Use arrows to go to list two) Numeral Enter (one at a time) • Draw the Picture: 2nd Y= (Turn on plot one) Enter (on is blinking) (Select the type) Down Arrow Right Arrow Enter (Select the list) 2nd List Arrows (Select the mark) Arrows Enter (Set the window) Zoom 7

Grading Rubric 4 pts – adds additional correct examples/information 3 pts – complete and accurate explanation using a correct method/answer 2 pts – computational error, but a complete and accurate explanation OR correct answer; incomplete but accurate explanation 1 pt – incomplete and incorrect Note: 10 points equals a “100” (3 questions on the assessment)
