  6. Lab Assignments • Total of 9 Labs assignments • Use a variety of lab materials • Labs 1, 2, and 5 use online tutorials from ESRI’s virtual classroom • Labs 3, 4 and 7 are based off actual GIS data and real world projects • Labs 6, 8 and 9 use the lab textbook: GIS Tutorial 2: Spatial Analyst Workbook • Each assignment is worth a total of 50 points • Lab Notebook • Required to create and keep a lab notebook for each weeks assignment that includes tips and tricks that you learned about from that week’s lab • Pre-test • Required, but used as baseline information for the TA’s and your instructor, i.e. not graded

  7. Lab Assignment Policies • What’s Due: • Each labs final requirements will vary, so pay close attention to the requirements outline in the week’s PowerPoint and within the lab’s instructions • Due Dates: • All labs are due the next week before the beginning of your lab section • e.g. Section 10’s Lab 1 is due January 17, 2012 before 1 p.m. • For each day late the maximum lab value is reduced by 5 points • Grades • Copies of your graded lab assignments will be returned to your student folder on the S drive or handed back during lab • Grades will be posted on Blackboard
