  2. 學習要點 • 「否定性副詞片語/子句」提至句首而引起倒裝 • 「Only帶頭的副詞/副片/副詞子句」提至句首而引起的倒裝 • 表「位置」或「處所」之副詞/介詞片語提前引起的倒裝

  3. 何謂倒裝句？有何作用？ 將句中的某一部份提前，放在句首並且將主詞與助動詞倒置，以達到「強調」作用，稱為「倒裝句」。 ★平常句：We had hardly started when it started to rain. ★倒裝句：Hardly had we started when it started to rain.

  4. 例句1：The American colonies did not declare their independence from England until 1776.→ Not until 1776didthe American colonies declare their independence from England. 例句2： John had no sooner finished washing his car than it began to rain. →No soonerhad John finished washing his carthanit began to rain.

  5. Hardly（幾乎不） Scarcely（幾乎不） Barely （幾乎不） Rarely（很少） Never(again)（絕不再） Seldom（不常） Little（很少） Nowhere（沒有任何地方） No longer（不再） 常見的否定性副詞
