Your system is not complete until it has been fully tested and any errors corrected. You will probably find you tested each stage as you developed your solution. It is a good idea to keep a record of these tests together with evidence as you go along and include this in your test report. Testing – what to do
Your test report should include the results of every action that you have taken to test your system, together with evidence. Go back to your test plan and carry out each of the tests in order. Check that the outcome is as expected. If any results are not as expected, corrective action will need to be taken and documented. Test report – what to include
It is a good idea to copy and paste your test plan into the testing section. Add an extra column to the table and label this column ‘Actual outcome’. Perform each test and enter the outcome in the actual outcome column. Provide evidence in the form of screenshots immediately underneath. If any comments or actions are necessary, include them. You can comment on any actions taken and developments needed in your final evaluation. You need also to include the results of your end user testing. Do not make this up.
