IMPORT TOOL OVERVIEW Design Objective: To enable the user to import data from any format and export it to any format, and to do so reliably and quickly. • Import and Export .csv, .txt., .xls , .mdb, SQL, MySQL • Advanced handling of “non-detects” • Normalize parameters, locations, units, etc. • Valid Value checking for all fields • “Autopilot” design: Create an import template once per file format, and quickly reuse it later with other data sets • Create location and parameter groups • Create new parameters that represent sums or ratios of other parameters

  2. IMPORT TOOL OVERVIEW Handle both regular and crosstab formats just by dragging and dropping column (field) names to match the desired export format

  3. IMPORT TOOL OVERVIEW Easily handle valid values from custom lists maintained by the user, and/or shared between users

  4. IMPORT TOOL OVERVIEW Visually catch and repair data entry errors

  5. IMPORT TOOL OVERVIEW Easily handle duplicate values, resample the data, link to other data sources and calculate new parameters, and show distributions of results.
