Franchisor • The company that allows an individual (known as the franchisee) to run a location of their business.
franchisee • One that is granted a franchise, as to market a company's goods or services in a certain local area.
Apprenticeship • One bound by legal agreement to work for another for a specific amount of time in return for instruction in a trade, art, or business.
Job sharing • the division of a job between two or more people such that each covers the same job for complementary parts of the day or week
W-4 form • A tax form prepared by an employee for an employer indicating the employee's exemptions and Social Security number, and enabling the employer to determine the amount of taxes to be withheld for the employee.
Net pay • The remaining amount of an employee's gross pay after deductions, such as taxes and retirement contributions, are made.
