  4. Lakes • Smaller than an ocean • Surrounded by land • Freshwater • The bass lives in lakes

  5. Pond Smaller than a lake Usually man-made Goldfish and koi live in ponds

  6. River Flows down a designated course Usually flows into a lake or ocean Salmon, trout, eels, and carp all live in a river
