High Capacity / High Quality – State of the Art Portable Ice Plant Available For Purchase December 2008
Self-contained trailer mounted 40ft shipping containers makes it the first truly mobile ice plant • Able to work with either 380V/50Hz or 480V/60Hz power system • Using environmentally conscious refrigerant R507 • Producing standard 300lbs blocks, clear, white and colors • Designed to be used in ambient temperatures up to 97oF • Can be used on any flat surfaces (cement, asphalt and gravel) • Can be used indoor or outdoors Key Features
One mechanical container housing all the refrigeration equipment • Four half-height containers serving as the brine tanks • Complete sets of overhead steel frames with electrical hoists • Complete sets of flexible hoses, hosing connectors and pumps • Air distribution system for making crystal clear blocks • Water refilling cart • Reverse Osmosis system Ice Plant Components
Two 40HP Bitzer compressors in operation, plus one new standby compressor provided • A transformer with output power either 380V/50Hz or 480V/60Hz. Maximum design draw is 135KVA • Air compressor and tank supplying 17CFM at 50PSI • Control cabinet • Evaporative tank • Evaporative condenser Mechanical Container
Four 40ft x 8ft x 5ft brine tanks with overhead lifting cranes • PU insulated tank walls and cover plates to prevent cold loss • Each tank holds 17 rows, 5 galvanized steel ice cans per row. • Total 340 cans, each holds 40 gallons of water • An agitator mixes and keeps brine circulating, together with the pump at the back of each tank. Brine Tanks
Clear blocks are made by gently stirring the water with air • All cover plates have holes for putting in the air tubes Air Distribution System • Air compressor to send the air to the manifold for distribution • Each individual tube has an air flow control valve
Five tanks with 1-inch feed line for fast refilling of water • Combined with tip table and harvest ramp • A catch pan at the bottom to minimize spilling • Wheels to move to the different tanks for harvesting Water Refilling Cart
The purity of water is vital to make the quality clear ice. • Daily processing capacity of RO system: 7000 GPD • Three white storage tanks hold 4500 gallons Reverse Osmosis System
Average 96 hours to produce clear ice • Average 72 hours to produce white ice and color ice • Current daily capacity is 30,000lbs • Brine water temperature can be as low as -14 Celsius • Ambient temperatures were between 97 oF and 104 oF • From 9/12/2008 to 10/6/2008, 5009 blocks were produced for an ice show in Texas Production Data
