Intensifying activity in the Sangin valley and Gereshk is likely part of the EF reaction to Marjeh operations, and demonstrates the effect that displaced Marjeh fighters are likely to have throughout the AO. The attack on Howz-e-Madad COP was of significant size, and shows an increasing level of coordination among EF through the Arghandab valley. Activity through the Kandahar area peaked on 20 FEB, and will likely decline over the next 48, to increase again 24-25 FEB.
