  2. Using the System Once the system is installed the operator is ready to send and receive calls and conduct meetings with the system; there is no “boot up” period required.

  3. REMOTE CONTROL • The remote is divided into four main areas; first the area at the top has the quick keys. • The second area has the presets and video sources. • The middle section shows the audio and camera controls. • The bottom of the remote is the numeric keypad for dialing. • IR pick-up in Wave Camera if in use.

  4. MUTING THE MICROPHONE AND VOLUME CONTROL • Microphone On/Off: To turn your microphone on/off during a call, press the “mute” key. An on screen indicator will appear on both sides when the microphone is off. • Adjusting Volume: Press the “VOLUME” keys to adjust volume level (An on-screen indicator will show the current level; 10 or 11 is the recommended volume level).

  5. Video Sources To toggle between video sources, press the buttons corresponding to the video sources labeled on the remote. The “Quick Keys” with Intelligent Call Management are designed to help the user know the next logical step within the current function, ie: Duo Video, Add Site, Call Status, Request Floor, Release Floor. Press one of the quick keys and the prompts will appear along the bottom of the screen Quick Keys

  6. P1, P2, and P3 Presets Selecting Presets: To select a camera position you have previously preset, audio, and video source, use the Control Keys, P1, P2, or P3, or P plus the number 0 to 9 on the numeric key pad to activate P0 to P9. P1 to P3 are the same presets as “P” plus 1, 2, or 3.

There are 10 presets available to store. • Each preset is able to store: • Video Input • Audio Input • Camera Position, Pan Tilt and zoom when using Tandberg camera • Camera Adjustments, (focus, brightness, backlight and white balance when using Tandberg camera) Presets • To preset a peripheral, choose the desired video and audio input. • Press “STORE” and a number 0 - 9.

  8. Picture-in-Picture (PIP) Moving the Picture-in-Picture, (PIP): Press the “Move PIP” key to move the Picture-in-Picture to different corners of the screen. To turn the PIP on and off, click the “MENU” key. Next, use the “Arrow” keys to highlight “UTILITIES” and press “OK.” Now highlight the “AUTO PIP” selection and make your change.

  9. Selfview View outgoing video: On a single monitor system, to see your own picture, press the “SELFVIEW” key. The first shows picture-in-picture, the second shows a full screen selfview . Sending a Still Image Sending a still image: Choosing a still image to send.Press “MENU”, scroll down to Presentations. Press OK.Scroll down to “DUO VIDEO/STILL IMAGE SOURCE.” Highlight the source you want to send as a still image and press “OK.”

  10. Sending a Still Image Press the “SNAPSHOT” key. The outgoing video remains frozen until the “SELFVIEW KEY” is pressed. This will toggle between the still image and your current outgoing video source.

  11. Far End Camera Control • Far End Camera Control: Press the “FAR END CAMERA CONTROL” key until the FAR END CAMERA on-screen indicator is displayed. While activated you will be able to access the remote site’s camera and presets. • Far End Camera control WILL NOT allow changes to presets and video sources. • SNAPSHOT: Send still images by pressing the “SNAPSHOT” key.

  12. Requesting a Still Image Requesting a still image: Press the “FAR END CAMERA” key until the Far End Camera indicator is displayed, press “SNAPSHOT”. To request a still image from another video source, press the video source you wish to see (buttons under the quick keys) and then press the “SNAPSHOT” key.

  13. Storing Directory Numbers For numbers that are often called, the site names and numbers can be entered into the directory (it holds up to 99 entries). Hit the “DIRECTORY” key. On the next screen, hit the “ADD ENTRY” quick key, outlined in green on the screen. Enter the name of the site by using the letters over the numeric keys on the remote. Enter the number of the site and hit “OK”.

  14. Last Number Dialed Last Number Dialed: To redial the last number, press “DIRECTORY” and the “CONNECT” key.

  15. Editing Directory Numbers • Hit the “DIRECTORY” key. • Highlight the entry to be edited. • Hit the “EDIT ENTRY” quick key and make the necessary adjustments to the entry.

  16. Making Calls - Basic To make a video call, just dial the number (as if dialing a telephone) using the dialing keys and press the green “CONNECT” button. You will then receive on-screen feedback. Local Call: 7541234567 +”CONNECT” (10 digit dialing). You will then receive on-screen feedback.

  17. Receiving Calls By default, the auto-answer function is on when you receive your system. Your system will automatically answer calls and be in the muted mode. To answer calls manually, turn off the auto-answer feature. To turn off the auto-answer function, press “MENU” and then…use the arrow keys to move to the “UTILITIES” selection, press OK, highlight “AUTOANSWER”, set this to “OFF” and press “OK”. HOWEVER, if you were to do this, you would then have to answer calls manually by pressing the green “CONNECT” key.

  18. Selecting Call Speed The system automatically connects on the highest number of channels available. If you want to select a specific call speed, dial the number you wish to call. Before pressing “CONNECT” look to the bottom of the screen. You will see a blue Quick key labeled “QUALITY AUTO.” Using the “arrow” keys, select the call speed desired. Hit “OK” and then press “CONNECT.”
