Admittance, Master • Basic requirement is 180 credits (3 years full time studies) including a 15 credits thesis.

Admittance, PhD • Basic requirement is 240 credits (4 years full time studies) incl 60 credits advanced courses. • Special requirement at DSV is 90 credits.
Content • Licentiate: 2 years (60 credits course work and 60 credits thesis work) • PhD: 4 years (90 credits course work and 150 credits thesis work) • In some cases a part (max 1 year) of the master education can be included (if the total time of that is more than 5 years)
Content • Courses on licentiate and PhD level 22,5 credits are mandatory (scientific communication, research methodology, theory of science), the rest of the courses are chosen to fit the student's individual study goal.
Programs • SIDA PhD students run in various forms with interactions with other Swedish university departments, • Industrial PhD students are individualized with an agreement between the industry/company and DSV.
