Geography, Climate, and Natural resources • Geography: Germany’s Geography contains mountains, hills, rivers, and forests. • Climate: They have a temperate and marine climate, making their daily living cool and cloudy, with wet winters and summers. They occasionally have warm mountain winds. Due to these conditions, transportation is limited, therefore making the average German’s life more difficult. • Natural Resources: Germany’s major natural resources are coal, lignite, natural gas, iron ore, copper, nickel, uranium, potash, salt, construction materials, timber, and arable land. For the most part, these resources determine what types of jobs are available in Germany.

3. economics • Germany is a very well developed country in multiple ways. In some ways, they are beating the U.S. economically, even though the U.S. is known for being one of the most economically developed countries. Although the statistical gap is small, sometimes Germany falls behind. For example, Germany's GDP Per Capita is $39,100 compared to the U.S. GDP Per Capita that is $48,300. The U.S. is standing as the country with the highest GDP Per Capita and Germany is only $9,200 in GDP Per Capita behind the U.S. This statistic shows Germany's astonishing economical success and that they are a developed country. • The poverty rate in Germany is 15% (same as America), which shows that our countries are both dealing with a poverty increase. This rate is still better than most other countries that are completely poverty stricken. This shows that Germany is still very powerful economically. • The inflation rate in Germany is 2.2% and America’s is 3.1% showing that Germany’s debt is so low that they barely have to change the prices of goods. However, America has more national debt making the inflation rate higher for the goods bought by people. This shows that Germany is developed because of its minor national debt, which makes the inflation rate very low as well.

Culture • Religion: Their country is mostly Protestant and Roman Catholic, unlike a lot of countries. • Language:German is the main spoken language. • The Arts: Germany is well known all around the world for their amazing music and dance. They are one of the main countries with extremely powerful operas. The performers are known to have beautiful voices. These operas and other performances include highly talented dancers. Also, Germany is very well known for their paintings and artists. Germany has had thousands of very famous painters on record since 1330.
