Fall 2009 pilot results Education Technology Services
Fall 2009 pilot – survey /stats • Four instructors and their assistant instructors • Created one to six rubrics • Used all but one rubric that was created • Overall satisfaction was high • Easy to create • Easy to grade • Confused about student access to rubrics prior to grading • Most instructors were trained individually • 15 – 30 minutes of time per person Education Technology Services
Fall 2009 pilot - comments • The iRubric web site is very helpful and the process is very intuitive • Now that it is developed, I expect I will use it again next year with minor modifications • I REALLY liked it. I think it would be quite helpful to instructors and would provide easy access to data for the quality assurance purposes in the Student Teaching Office. • I’d like to be able to type more in the comments section. • If there was a way to make it more transparent with the gradebook so students are forced to see it, that would be helpful Education Technology Services
