Teaching Background • Graduated from Capital University in 1988 with a degree in music education • Taught 3 years in Eaton City Schools: junior high choir, high school choir and elementary general music (1988-1991) • Taught 3 years in Vandalia City Schools: elementary general music (1991-1994) • Substitute teacher for Bluffton Exempted Village Schools (2007-2011)

  3. Musical Background • Oboist with the Whitewater Opera Company, Springfield Symphony • Oboist with the Lima Symphony Orchestra (present) • Oboe instructor at Ohio Northern University (1999-2010) • Oboe instructor at Bluffton University (present)

  4. Personal Background • Married for 21 years • 3 beautiful daughters ages 16, 14 and 11 • Going back to school to get licensure for grades K-3 with a 4th and 5th grade endorsement • Currently fulfilling a long term substitute position for the rest of the year in 3rd grade
