  14. Your Newsfeed where what type of content makes a difference Do people see what you’re posting? Well, it depends if Facebook is showing your content to your potential customers (which is why you must advertise in addition to creating content ) In February 2012 Facebook said that the average page was reaching just 12% of its fans. Facebook wants you to advertise for obvious reasons. It’s a money maker for them and for you and only a small percentage of your fans interact with your posts.   15. How much interaction will get you to that 10 billion mark? How many? The stats are in your page “insights” and depending on how responsive your fans are is how many times you’ll show up in their newsfeed. The fans who click on your posts, comment, like or share will see your posts in their newsfeedwhich makes your Edgerank go way up What does that mean? Long and short of it…in addition to your content you need to advertise to get seen. Caveat, advertising on Facebook isn’t ‘boosting’ posts… It’s about creating a valuable lead magnet that people want, need and are interested in downloading. Go from 12% to 100% Views with Ads… No one sees every post from every friend or page they’ve liked, Facebook wants to show each person the things they’d be most interested in based on past posts you’ve clicked on, commented on, liked and shared, and then they show you more of the same. Edgerank comes into play here: Affinity x Weight x Time • Affinity, how ‘affine’ are you to comment on that particular post, brand or personality? • Weight, How many times do you comment, like and share? • Time, how long before that post is no longer interesting and something else has taken its’ place?
