Collaborate PASadena 2016 Accomplishments • Trauma Informed Care involvement and trainings • Peoria Place connections • Library books placed in Young & Healthy venues • Young & Healthy giving library cards to program participants • Public Health Department to conduct wrap-around care training • Planned and implemented 3 “Parents with a Voice” events • Help deepen relationships around parent engagement, for example PUSD Family Center, Lake Avenue Community Foundation, Altadena Town Council, Young & Healthy, PTS’s and others • Improved access for parents, including help with volunteer parking at school sites • Jackson Afterschool Reading Project/Reading Partners • Identified volunteers for other Reading Partners Sites

Collaborate PASadena 2016 Accomplishments • Connected Reading Partners with Lake Avenue Community Foundation • Second grade book drive • Connected Student Success Work Group with Healthy Families Work Group • 1st Annual Realtors Read Across Pasadena event • Math at “Kids Reading to Succeed” • Community service hours for PUSD students • Caltech RISE Program and Muir HS • Connection to Pasadena Fire Department for volunteers • Development of “Walk to Read” concept • Relationship with John Aaroe Group

Collaborate PASadena 2016 Accomplishments • Relationship between PEF’s Community Engagement Committee and Student Success Work Group • Helped organizations operate more efficiently in the community because of relationships formed via CP • Broadened connections for No Future Café, including Battle of the Bands with PEF • Connected residents to the Pasadena Neighborhood Leadership Institute • Inspired neighborhood clean-up effort on Harkness Avenue • Identified local businesses that support the community • Brought organizations together to explore joint funding possibilities
