  4. Left Behind • The Administration • Stuck in a “position” instead of leadership • Congress – Several Bills • Lieberman-Warner • Bingaman-Specter • Others • EPA under the CAA • Vehicle standards proposed by end of year • Stationary source regulation (trouble!)

  5. Left Out? • China • Very conscious of image and impacts • Interested in cleaner energy & controls • Not likely to enter C&T system soon • Others ? • Essential for economic equity and real GHG progress long term

Get a Ticket to Ride • Stay abreast of local, regional, national, & international action • But don’t chase one path too early…it will change. • GHG reporting is coming • Cap & Trade is coming (sector scope?) • Preparedness • GHG inventory and reporting systems • Assess C&T and you (lead up & implementation)
