Characterization • Characterization is the method an author uses to reveal or describe characters and their various personalities.
What clues does the author give the reader in order to develop characterization? • Physical description • What the character does (actions) • What the character says • What the character thinks/feels • What other characters say or do to the character • When and where the character lives
