Information Oddly enough he didn’t become funny until he was 55 years old. John Grandits is a poet, typographer, art director, designer, and writer. He’s written cartoons, articles, humor pieces, and fiction and nonfiction for both children and adults. Occasionally he’s been published. In his previous life he was associated with a number of juvenile.

John Granditsstarted his career in children's book publishing as a book designer, typographer, writer,art director, and a poet. He has also worked as an art director at the highly praised Cricket magazine. However, he is best known to middle-grade and teen readers as the author of several verse novels featuring concrete poetry. Career
Joanne is John Grandits’ wife. She is a children's librarian. Joanne, pictured below, is teaching and helping little kids. . Gilbert throws up constantly, claws everything, eats plastic (which makes him throw up more), and bites (us and visitors!). When we took him to the vet last month they were stunned to find out that Gilbert was 14 years old. They thought he was 7. Only the good die young. Family
