Critical Questions… • Who is your target group? • What do you know about them? • Which felt needs are you seeking to meet? • How? Strategy? Style? • Where will you begin? Your first priority?
What will be your Keys to making more and better disciples? • Which activities will first attract people’s attention? • How will the church meet felt needs of your target group? • How will ongoing care be provided? • How will new disciples be matured? Trained to reach others?
Gather the Pieces/Key words… • Target group & needs… • Ministry process… • Desired ends… • Core values & style… • Uniquenesses… – no one church fits everyone. • What will you not compromise?
“Measure” Your Draft Mission Statement… Does it show: • Your heart? Passion? • That you know the people you will reach? • That you know how? Is it accurate? • Enduring? Succinct? • Memorable? Energizing?
Making it Memorable • Five to ten words • The summary you will place in front of your people again and again • (Remember: Vision must be recast every 30 days!) • Which three ways will you do this?
