Lim Hoe Guan • 1991 Joined the Lions (20 years of Lionism) • 1999- 2000 Club President (Top President Award by the District) • District Trainer • 2001- 2002 Zone Chairman • Senior Lions Leadership Institute (SLLI) graduate (Korea) • 2002- 2003 Region Chairman • 2003- 2006 DC Leadership Development R2&3 • 2006- 2008 DC Retention • 2008- 2010 DC Orientation • Faculty Development Institute (FDI) graduate (Taiwan) • Lion Lim Hoe Guan is the founder cum CEO of Nobel Industries SdnBhd specializing in Packaging Label industry. His business is currently serving mainly corporate clients & multinationals both locally & overseas. • Lion Lim holds an Executive MBA from The University Of Bath, UK. & he is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Management which carry the title of MMIM.
President • Presides at all meetings of the BOD and the club Call for regular and special meetings of the BOD and the club • Appoints standing and special committees • Acts as Ex-officio in all standing and special committees of the club • Sees that nomination & elections are duly called, noticed and held • Co-operates with and be an active member in the DG’s advisory committee of the zone
Immediate Past President & Past Presidents • Greets members & their guests at club meetings • Represents club in welcoming all new service minded men and women in the community • IPP only : Member of executive board of the club and be responsible for the execution of policies approved by the club
Vice Presidents • VP next in rank only : Represents the president and performs his/her duties with the same authority as the president if the president is unable to perform the duties for any reason • Assist the president in many ways • Member of the executive board and be responsible for execution of the policies approved by the club
First Vice President • Supervise the following committee : - Attendance - Finance - Membership - Programme - Constitution and By-Laws
Second Vice President • Supervise - Lions Information - Convention - Sight conservation & work with the blind - Citizenship Services - International Understanding & Co-operation - Youth Exchange - Environmental Services
Third Vice President • Supervise: -Greeter - Public relations - Recreational Services - Social Services
Secretary • Submits monthly (WMMR, MAP) & any other reports to LCI and District • Submits reports to the DG’s Office • Keeps general records of the club • Issues statement to members for dues and other financial obligations and assist treasurer in the collection • Co-operates with and be an active member in the DG’s advisory committee of the zone
Treasurer • Receive all monies from Secretary and deposit them in bank approved by the BOD • Maintain two separate bank accounts: Administrative and Project Accounts • Make payment of club obligations as authorized by the BOD
Treasurer • Maintain general accounts of Receipts and Expenditures • Prepare monthly and semi-annually financial reports to the BOD & the District • Pay invoice from LCI promptly • Be an active member in the DG’s advisory committee of the zone
Membership Director • Develop growth program for the club & present to the BOD for approval. • Encourage to bring in new quality members • Ensure proper recruitment and retention • Organize orientation session
Membership Director Report to the BOD on ways to reduce the loss of members. Coordinate with other committees in fulfilling these responsibilities. Serving as member of the zone committee (DG Advisory Committee)
Lion Tamer • Take charge of the club’s properties. Proper storage area to ensure safekeeping • Arrange proper physical settings at meeting • Arrange sittings at meeting that encourage interaction
Lion Tamer • Distribute bulletins and literatures as required at meetings • Act as Sergeant-at-arms in meeting • Member of the executive Board. Responsible for execution of policies approved by the club
Tail Twister (Optional) • Promote harmony, good fellowship and enthusiasm in meeting thru appropriate activities and imposition of curious fines on club members (who are celebrating their happy occasions, not wearing lions lapel pins, late in attendance etc.) • Impose a fine on a member provided however, that no member shall be fined more than twice at any one meeting
Tail Twister • Tail twister may not be fined except by the unanimous vote of all members present • Announces all monies collected and immediately turns them over to the treasurer and a receipt be given • Member of the executive board. Responsible for execution of club policy approved by board
Director • Member of the BOD. Responsible for the execution policy approved by the board. All new businesses and policies of the club shall be deliberated first by the BODs & then presented to club members for execution at regular/special club meeting
Director • Authorize all expenditures and shall not create any indebtedness beyond the financial means of the club, nor authorize disbursement of club funds inconsistent with the club business and policy • Possess power to modify, override or rescind the action of any officer of the club
Director • Check operation of club accounts. Be audited annually. Any member in good standing may inspect such accounts upon request at reasonable time and place
Director • Submit all matters of new business and policy to the respective standing committee for study and recommendation to the BOD • The BOD approve & present to Club members for execution, the delegates and alternate delegates of the club to district convention
