World Trade Organization (WTO) ▪ The WTO Secretariat has circulated a meeting notice and list of items proposed for the next meeting on September 27, 2021, of the Dispute Settlement Body ▪ Trade Policy Review for Singapore concluded ▪ China appeals panel report regarding US duties on photovoltaic cells United States, Europe & Asia ▪ European Commission proposes new EU Generalized Scheme of Preferences to promote sustainable development in low-income countries ▪ Taiwan seeks to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) ▪ India likely to push for strict origin norms in UAE FTA talks ▪ Pakistan will pursue individual trade deals with Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Oman India ▪ DGTR issues Final Findings in Anti-Dumping Investigation concerning imports of “Silicone Sealants ” originating in or exported China PR. ▪ DGTR issues Final Findings in Anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of Ceftriaxone Sodium Sterile originating in or exported from China PR ▪ DGTR issues Final Findings in Anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of Untreated Fumed Silica from China PR & Korea RP ▪ Ministry of Finance imposes countervailing duty on “Aluminum Wire in coil form/Wire Rod in coil form having diameter ranging from 9 mm to 13 mm" exported from Malaysia for a period of 5 years. ▪ Ministry of Chemicals mandates mandatory BIS certification on Acrylonitrile Butadiene, Styrene (ABS), Ethylene Dichloride, P- Xylene , Polycarbonate, Polyurethanes and Vinyl Chloride Monomer from March 22, 2022.
