Academic Experiences • BS/MS Program • Application Requirements: • Apply between 30 – 75 earned credit hours • Minimum Overall GPA of 3.5 • Advantages: • Students are not required to take the GRE • Allows students to take 6 hours of graduate work which counts towards both BS & MS degrees • Undergraduate Research • Students can participate in research for pay or class credit • Class counts as ME Electives, Tech Electives or Free Electives • Minors and Certificates • Minors are 15-18 credit hours, certificates are 12 credit hours • Georgia Tech offers 36 minors and 60+ certificates

30. Certifications for health insurance coverage, car insurance, scholarships, etc. can be printed by the student. Georgia Tech has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as our agent for all verifications of student enrollment. Third parties must use the Clearinghouse. 32. When should students begin their internship search? Approximately 2 semesters before they are interested in interning. When do companies hire interns? One to two semesters in advance. Students should start looking for summer internships NOW, and continue looking all through the end of Spring semester. What resources are at GT to find internships? What semesters can students have an internship? Internships can be during summer, fall or spring semester.
