The Painting • Shows three men, probably drunk as one is drinking from a krater • Revolutionary in the use of three-quater viewpoint • Poses show lots of movement, highlighted by the drapery
The head is the only odd bit, looks slightly too twisted Inscriptions tell us the names of the revellers Good study of anatomy Used a dark line for main shapes and mixed a lighter brown for other lines Drapery shown with creases and fold Uses katagrapha, three quarters view Composition split into three separate figures Feet in one direction, head in the other, great skill shown in rendering
