ANSWER • NO! • The white and black signs are REGULATORY. They are the legal speed limit for that road • Yellow and Black signs may also have a speed limit written on it. They are ADVISORY SPEED LIMITS
Advisory Speed Limits give the SUGGESTED speed for a particular stretch of road.
SECOND QUESTION…If you choose NOT to follow the advisory limit and you are in a crash, will you be given a ticket for speeding?
