Mål • FOS is a regional project organization: • Schools • Kindergartens • Culture/music schools (Municipality schools of fine arts) • Adult education • Educational and psychological counseling services • FOS offers services to more than 100 units in 6 municipalities. • Continued training and refresher courses

  6. FOS… • Cooperates with the County Governor of HordaIand • Carries out a lot of tasks initiated by the County and State government • Agreement with the Stord/Haugesund University College (refresher courses and further education)

  7. FOS… • Cooperates with upper secondary schools (reduce drop-out, etc.) • ”The Cultural Rucksack” • A small organization – Budget of 2 mill. NKR • FOS has one employee –a regional councellor working 90%.

Key areas this year • Early Years Literacy Programs • ”Kindergarten and school hand-in-hand” • Reading and writing strategies (PISA) • Pupil assessment • External/regional evaluation in kindergartens • Further education: “Leadership in primary/lower secondary education” • ICT and learning environment • Adapted Education/teaching • www.fos-sunnh.no
