Brick • Bronze • Silver • Gold • Platinum Tiered Structure Tiered Structure
To achieve ‘Brick Society’ sponsorship, a society must fulfil all of the following criteria. • Requirements • Must have a Society Constitution that is approved by the Societies Development Co-ordinator (SDC), and ratified by the societies committee. • Must have as a minimum, President, Secretary and Treasurer Committee positions. • Must have a minimum of 5 registered members. • Attend monthly meetings with the SDC for advice and guidance, and report on progress to societies committee. • Have a democratically elected committee after Spring elections. • Attendance at all SU volunteer training, to be defined by the SDC after election period. • Up-to-date and accurate information to be displayed on the Society’s northamptonunion.com webpage. (Society blurb, social media accounts, meeting times, committee contact details) • Development plan and review of the society by the end of the academic year to be submitted by the committee to the SDU for the review of SDU and Societies Officer Tiered Structure Brick Society
Benefits • Societies will have access to the £5,000 New Societies Grant, and will put funding bids to the Societies committee. • Stall at Union Day (Fresher’s Fair) and Re-Fresher’s Fair, free of charge • Endsleigh insurance for all participants where activity requires it • Access to the £40k Engagement Event Grant • Personal development training • Free minibus hire • Free room booking • Free web services • Free banking services • Free centralised commercial material • Brick societies will be re-evaluated before the start of the second term and Re-Freshers. Tiered Structure Brick Society
Requirements • To achieve ‘Bronze’ sponsorship a society must fulfil the following criteria: • Improvements on Brick • Must have a minimum of 11 points but no more than 20, from the Impact Matrix. • A minimum of one social event held in the Student’s Union per term where at least 35% of members are in attendance with a £7 spend per head • Benefits • Improvements on Brick • Fourth priority choice for room bookings in the University and Students’ Union venues • Free Regular Activity costs covered by the Students’ Union Tiered Structure Bronze Sponsorship
Requirements • To achieve ‘Silver sponsorship’, a society must fulfil all of the following criteria: • Improvements on Bronze • Must have a minimum of 21 points but no more than 30, from the Impact Matrix. • Provided SDC with development plan for approval by the SDC and Societies officer. • A minimum of two social events held in the Student’s Union per term where at least 45% of members are in attendance with a £6 spend per head • Be available to mentor a “Bronze or Brick” level club • A minimum of 10% of SU sponsorship matched by the club, raised throughout the academic year and paid into club account. • Benefits • Improvements on Bronze • Third priority choice for room bookings (University and Students’ Union venues) • Silver Societies will be funded for other less regular activities such as one-off events Tiered Structure Silver Sponsorship
Requirements • To achieve ‘Gold sponsorship’, a society must fulfil allof the following criteria: • Improvements on Silver • Must have a minimum of 31 points but no more than 59, from the Impact Matrix. • A minimum of three social events held in the Students’ Union per term where at least 55% of members are in attendance with a £7 spend-per-head • Be available to mentor a “Silver” level club • Benefits • Improvements on Silver • Second priority choice for University and Students’ Union room bookings • Gold Societies will receive £4000 in funding to do something extra Tiered Structure Gold Sponsorship
Requirements • To achieve ‘Platinum sponsorship’, a society must fulfil all of the following criteria: • Improvements on Gold • A minimum of four social events held in the Students’ Union per term where at least 65% of members are in attendance with a £7 spend-per-head • Be available to mentor a “Gold” level club • Increase membership to previous academic year • Benefits • Improvements on Gold • First priority choice for University and students’ Union venues • VIP experience at SU club event each week for all committee members where commercial targets have been met • Platinum Societies will be funded for 4 milestone events up to £X/event Tiered Structure Platinum Sponsorship
