  3. Panels Panels are pre-existing groupings of tests commonly ordered and run, such as: • Basic metabolic panel • General health panel • Electrolyte panel • Comprehensive metabolic • Obstetric panel

  4. Panels (continued) Using a code for a Panel means • All tests listed in the panel, as identified by CPT, have been performed • If not 100% of the test listed were done, code each test separately • Do not report a panel code with modifier 52
