Activities: Sand dam(s) and shallow well(s) constructed • Identification of suitable sites • (specific site detailed investigations including the rehabilitation of existing sand dams) – end of January 3-4 days; • + 1 day community meeting – include management structure) • Designing of dams and wells • (Desktop study and supplemented by field investigations – January & early February) • Mobilization of community and capital resources • (End of January – 1 day post field investigations; required resources by Mid-February) • Construction and commissioning of the dams and wells • (Construction in Feb/Mar, Training of management committee, leadership, operation and maintenance, spin-offs e.g. sand harvesting; Commission end of March)
