Conflicts • Crusades • Pope Urban II ordered knights (Christians) to travel to Jerusalem holy places converting people into Christians • Using violence • This was only the start to forced conversions only expanding when land was being taken especially from explores and conquistadors who forced the indigenous people to convert • Trail of Tears- not directly but since they forced their culture on them they were forcing Christianity on them as well
