A unique chance to bring SPC Tutors together to share practice and updates Opportunity to consult SPC tutors on how we should update the SPC suite To discuss how we best promote (and support) SPC to coaches and beyond A chance for sports coach UK, Coachwise and the CPSU to say thank you

Agenda: Morning Session 10.00 am Introductions and plans for the day 10.45 - 11am Tea and Coffee General safeguarding updates SPC products – KSS, SPC 2, SPC 16-18, officials Other training developments – TTL, Educare, LSCB Legislation updates – Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 Safeguarding Deaf and Disabled Children 12.30 -1.15 pm Lunch

  6. Agenda: Afternoon Session 1 Interactive session 1: Developing the new SPC workshop What works particularly well in SPC currently? 2006 to 2012, how has safeguarding moved on? What should our key messages be in the next phase of the SPC workshop? What child abuse messages should we include in the new workshop?

  7. Agenda: Afternoon Session 2 Interactive session 2: Promoting safeguarding & supporting coaches How can we promote safeguarding and good practice messages to coaches? How can the SPC workshops influence good coaching practice? Sharing good tutoring practice and how this impacts on coaches 3.45 pm Conclusions from the day and close

  10. ‘This is Abuse’ Campaign Home Office Campaign to raise awareness of teen relationship abuse sports coach UK have been asked to include information from the campaign in SPC suite Coaches support pack has been produced that we’ll make available in PDF format
