Homework Policy Students should not spend more than 90 minutes per night. This time should be budgeted in the following manner: • 15 min. looking for assignment • 11 min. calling a friend for the assignment • 23 min. explaining why the teacher is mean and didn’t give time in class • 8 min. in the bathroom • 10 min. getting a snack • 7 min. checking the TV Guide • 6 min. telling parents that the teacher never explained the assignment • 10 min. sitting at the kitchen table waiting for Mom or Dad to do the assignment
Grading Scale 93-100 A 90-92 A- 87-89 B+ 83-86 B 80-82 B- 77-79 C+ 73-76 C 70-72 C- 67-69 D+ 63-66 D 60-62 D- 59 and below F The students will be receiving a letter grade in each of the following areas: Language Arts Math Science Social Studies
Long LakeConservation Center Our Long Lake Trip takes place on March 21st-23rd. We’ll travel 3 hours up to the Palisades near Aitkin. The cost of the trip is $100, all of which can be paid for by the Sally Foster fundraiser.

Birthdays • Students are welcome to bring in a store-bought treat to share with the class. Often students bring enough to share with a few teachers too. • Half Birthdays are celebrated for those occurring in the summer. • The best time of day for treats is right away in the morning.
