Prayer requests the class can join you in praying for…02/15/09 Chuck Boysen- Pat, friend from work, pray for health and for openness to the Gospel Bryant Kempf- opportunity to help with leadership with Campus Crusade in Germany Chuck Copeland- continue to pray for his MS symptoms Frank Ackerman- dad having tests for his liver (Paul) Becky Boysen- brother Kent having surgery, possible cancer Pray that we would all be consistent in our time with the Lord each day

Committees vs. “Grass Roots” Communicate your idea and we’ll help see how it could fit into the church calendar. ie. women’s/men’s Bible study, church wide event or outreach, etc. • Ways to Serve at BCC: • Through our SS Class: Classroom Tear Down Coordinators Randy Nabors and Class Secretary Casey Davidson Meal Coordinator Staci Aberle Missions Coordinators Alissa Hawkinson and Shower Coordinator Events Coordinator Carol Harkins ? ? ? Other ideas for serving? Community involvement? Service Projects? Outreaches? 2. Other areas to highlight: · Children’s Ministry: Members or those moving toward membership to teach. Asst. teachers do not need to be members. · Nursery Care Giving: We have opportunities to help with caring for kids birth to 2 years. Membership not required. - Worship Ministry meeting TODAY after service in our SS classroom.

What Sins Should We Confront “Only sins of action should be confronted, because evaluating an attitude alone is extremely difficult…judging what is in someone’s heart is simply wrong” Rom 14:4 - Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. 1 Cor 4:5 - Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God.

What Sins Should We Confront • 1 Peter 4:8 • 8Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. • If the sin creates an unreconciled relationship between you and the offender, so that you think often about the sin and think badly of him, then confrontation is necessary for the sake of unity in the body (Matt 5:23-24; Phil 2:1-4) • If you are not confident that the person is growing in the direction of Christlikeness by regularly confessing his sin and working to change, then confronting his sin may be the only way to expose his spiritual inertia and help him to avoid God’s chastening (Heb 3:12-14; James 5:19-20; 2 Peter 1:5-10) • If you know that there will be consequences of this sin that will hurt others in the offender’s life, then for their sake you should make sure that he has recognized his wrong and repented from it. (Matt. 18:6; 1 Cor 5:6-7;12:26) When you shouldn’t “overlook” – note that this is not “tolerance”
