  5. Marc Prensky (born March 15, 1946 in New York City) is an Americanwriter and speaker on learning and education. He is best known as the inventor and popularizer of the terms "digital native" and "digital immigrant" which he described in a 2001 article in "On the Horizon".

  6. DIGITAL NATIVE • A digital native is a person for whom digital technologies already existed when they were born, and hence has grown up with digital technology such as computers, the Internet, mobile phones and MP3s. A digital immigrant is an individual who grew up without digital technology and adopted it later.
