Future Strategies • OST Literature PPCP Database • Contains summaries of peer-reviewed articles (1970’s-present) • Searchable by author, title, keyword • Presently contains over 400 citations and summaries • Hard copies of articles cataloged • OW plans to use data from the literature to help prioritize PPCPs of concern

Future Strategies • Workshop • Focus on long-term strategy and interim measures • Identify and prioritize data gaps • Identify a list of compounds to direct our focus • Analytical methods development in various media • Ecological and human health effects • Treatment (removal during treatment) • Exposure via biosolids (leaching from surface applied biosolids)

Future Opportunities for Collaboration • Data sharing with various agencies (e.g.-USGS, CDC, FDA, USDA) • Occurrence and health effects data • To develop water quality standards/criteria • To develop drinking water regulations • To assess increasing antibiotic resistance • To develop effluent guidelines • Technology sharing • Methods development • Treatment • External input into EPA assessments
