F A Community Club Status / Code Of Conduct • FA Community Clubs – Community Status • The club maintained its Community Status • Places clubs at the heart of their community.High quality, multi-team (minimum of 10 teams) set up with excellent social, training and playing opportunities for all. • Provide opportunities for players irrespective of age, gender, religion and ability. Clubs must also provide qualified coaches, first aiders and child protection officers. • Gaining the kite-mark has already been a significant factor in assisting clubs funding applications by providing evidence of a commitment to providing a sporting facility for use by the entire community.
Player Development Saturday Morning Club • The Triangle • Paul Rudge – appointed club coach for SMC – FA Qualified • 3 support coaches – 1 sports leader from H of E school. • Sponsored by Bugle – Equipment bought with their monies • Aimed at 5 to 7 year olds • Started 18th June 2011 • Attendance has been strong circa 20 -25 • Great Success – also creates some profit • Invited to this years Presentation Evening • First year that players from SMC will become Under 8’s team
Fundraising / Presentation Evening • Concentrated on 2 events • Co Op Bag Pack • Parents Tournament • Race Night was cancelled due to lack of support • Presentation Evening • New Venue The Grange • Selected for better facilities – Presentation and Social separate • Less work for most ! (Thanks Vince) • If continual need to fundraise on evening
Brand Development Objectives: • To develop close links with all in the community to promote football to all ages and abilities Achievements: • Balsall Common Bugle – Article in every publication. • Presence at local events – School Fairs , Competitions • Web-site: www.balsallhornets.co.uk – Better use but still requires all to focus • Saturday Morning Club • Single Identity – Standard Kit for Teams and Managers • Think how we raise profile
Finance Objectives: • To balance the demands of the clubs development with resources. • To remain cash positive Achievements: • Membership fee structure covers operating costs • Balsall & Berkswell Parish Councils have politically & financially supported the development of The Triangle • Fundraising – vital for future development of our facilities
Home Ground / Facilities Development Objective: • To develop the new Triangle into an excellent all year round football facility with well-drained pitches, good changing facilities and a safe/secure environment. • Issue with Barb Wire • Recently received permission to replace with single wire.

Development Issues • Balancing ambitions with resources. • Whilst improving The Triangle still has poor drainage • Investment in new facilities for the triangle – changing rooms with power, water and toilet facilities. • Coach and player development – best practice, technical etc…. • Diversity – Ensuring that all within our community have the opportunity to play – Breaking down barriers and creating a friendly, approachable and forward thinking club where development and competitiveness is well-balanced. • Involving more people to help grow, develop and support the club • Raising the finance to support the club development plan
