  2. Psalm 82:2-4 1. Defend the cause of the weak and the fatherless. 2. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. 3. Rescue the weak and needy. 4. Deliver them from the hands of the wicked.

  4. Matthew 25:31-ff Sheep or Goat? “When you did for the least of these my brothers, you did for me.” “When you did not do for the least of these, you did not do for me.”

  5. Matthew 9:35-38 Jesus had compassion on the people, they were harassed and helpless. Action: Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into the harvest field.

  6. Galatians 6:2 “Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Philippians 2:4 “Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.” I believe God calls all Christians to show compassion to people in need.
