  2. Purpose of proposed Seminar/Exhibition • Welcome local teachers, administrators, parents and others into an APEC activity • Chance to share concrete applications and practices • Eases everyone into Chilean time zone (after long trans-pacific flights)

  3. Preparation for 3rd AEMM-1 • Draft agenda and sub-theme papers for SOM and AEMM to be prepared and circulated for comments by 27 Jan • Remaining surveys submitted by 27 Jan at LATEST • Confirmation of seminar by 27 Jan • Draft main paper and Joint Statement distributed by 23 Feb

  4. Preparation for 3rd AEMM-2 • 2nd Draft of sub-theme papers and agenda distributed by 15 Mar • Final Draft of summary of survey results papers distributed by 15 Mar • 2nd Draft of main paper and Joint Statement by 29 Mar

  5. Documentation Required • Accurate, up-to-date Contact Information for EDNET reps—give to Chile today! • Copies of reports on economies’ promising practice—with demonstrable positive results—sent to sub-theme leads by 23 Feb current, clear evidence, assessment method, replicable, scalable, in context, with related URL • Economies’ policy briefs (optional) on each of the sub-themes (limit 2 pgs)—sent to Chile by 5 Apr • Confirmed list of participants by 29 Mar

  6. Paper Details • Sub-theme papers 8~10 pg. each • Summary of Survey Results papers 8~12 pg. each • Main theme paper 8~10 pg. • Joint Statement 4~5 pg.

  7. What to expect in Santiago: • Mid-autumn, moderate temperatures, not likely to rain, usually sunny • Warm Chilean hospitality • Cultural events • Optional university/school visits • Stay longer and tour if you can, north and south of Chile offer diverse experiences!
