  3. Are You Doing What God Wants? “If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth” (1 Jn. 1:6). You are walking in the Light • 1 Jn. 1:7 fellowship Jesus is the Light “If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone also who practices righteousness is born of Him” (1 Jn. 2:29). • Jn. 8:12; Jn. 14:6 You practice the truth “Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness” (1 Jn. 2:29).

God’s love has been perfected in you • 1 Jn. 2:4-6 keep commandments • know you have eternal life (1 Jn. 5:13) • 1 Jn. 2:10-11 love, light • know God hears your prayers (1 Jn. 5:15) • 1 Jn. 2:15-17 love God, not world • know God keeps you from the evil one(1 Jn. 5:18) 1 Jn. 3:1-3 you are God’s child 1 Jn. 3:14 you have eternal life • know you are of God(1 Jn. 5:19) 1 Jn. 3:17-19 heart assured before God • know Jesus has come, given you understanding, you’re in Him who is true, you have eternal life(1 Jn. 5:20) • 1 Jn. 3:23-24 confidence in salvation • 1 Jn. 4:7-8 not fear You are doing what God wants!
