Promote & Inform Clubs Member recognition • Critical factor from Moments of Truth • Part of Club Success Plan Of-The-Year Awards • Advance from Club to Area to Division to District • Rookie and Toastmaster Of-The Year Clubs can have additional awards • Rising Star, Visionary Leader • Club Ambassador, Unsung hero

  3. How does it happen? • Discuss at Area Council meetings • Inform clubs about OTY awards on next visit • Benefits to the club – acknowledge, award and celebrate – members achievements • Show the club the forms (website) • Provide guidance to the club • Follow-up mid-May

  4. District OTY Awards Rookie Of-The-Year Toastmaster Of-The-Year President Of-The-Year Public Relations Award Area Governor Of-The-Year Division Governor Of-The-Year

  5. District OTY Awards Introduce forms to all members Include in new member orientation Forms on the D42 website under Resources Members track their participation throughout the year

  6. District OTY Awards • Presented at Fall Conference • Recognize outstanding commitment, leadership & dedication • Specific criteria for each award • At club level, Past President leads the nomination committee • Area & Division nomination committees • D42 website, District 42 Procedures

  7. District OTY Awards • Only one candidate from each clubfor each of Rookie and Toastmaster • One candidate from each area (except Public Relations) • One candidate from each division (except Public Relations)

  8. Area Governor Responsibilities Encourage clubs to participate June 2015, Form a sub-committee at Area Level to review the club submissions Committee – current AG, past AG, Assistant AG Make final selection for each category Submit selection to Division Governor, including testimonials

  9. Rookie OTY Up to 18 months prior to June 30 Jan 2014-June 2015 for this year’s award

  11. President OTY Eligibility requirements: June 30, Club must be Distinguished or better Club must have been represented at Business Meetings (conference & convention)

  12. Public Relations OTY More than one public relations program can be submitted upward (from Area to Division to District) as the “Best Public Relations Award” in the event there are more than one of exceptional quality.

  13. Area Governor OTY Area Governor OTY Let clubs know about the AG OTY award Invite your clubs to provide testimonials (letters) to your Division Governor

  14. Action Now Clubs should start now Provide the forms to members Complete form as roles and goals are met Don’t wait until May to start Recognition at all levels District Officers are not eligible for Rookie, Toastmaster or President OTY
