Griffin Middle School is excited to announce the 2010-2011 musical! All students are invited to audition for the musical on Nov. 9-11thbetween 4:30 – 6 pm. Students will be allotted 7 minutes per audition. Students wanting to audition should sign up on the list posted outside the chorus classroom. Students interested in set design/build, sound and lighting, costumes or prop procurement should sign up on the appropriate sheets posted outside the chorus room as well. Students auditioning for a part should visit http://www.broadwayjr.com/audition/ to view available roles and print off a script as well as the score for interested part(s). Students should be prepared to perform from their chosen script as well as sing from the related score. While we will make every attempt to accommodate a student’s wish to play a particular role, the director reserves the right to cast the student in a role that best suits the actor or actress. Students who are cast in a role will be required to sign and commit to a “Musical Contract”. Parents of students cast will also be required to sign the contract. Commitment is critical to the success of this production. Rehearsals will begin in Nov. 16th, 4:30 – 6 pm. Rehearsals will be two days a week Nov. –Jan. Rehearsal may go to three nights a week beginning in Feb. The performance is scheduled for April 28 -30th.
