Create Folder “Algebra I” • Open OneNote from Microsoft Office • Go to My Notebook in OneNote • Go to File – New – Folder • Name Folder “Algebra I”
Create Sections: “Notes” & “Homework” • Create two new sections • Name one section “notes” and the other “Homework”
Create Pages: • Under “Notes” section create a page for each chapter. • Under “Homework” section create a page for “Daily”, “P.O.W.”, and “Extra Credit”.
Create Subpages: • “Notes”: Create subpages under “Chapter” pages according to what sections we cover in class each day (i.e. sec. 1.3) • “Homework”: Create subpage under “Daily” by date of assignment (i.e. 09/10/09). Create subpage under “P.O.W.” by number (i.e. P.O.W. #1). Create subpage under “Extra Credit” by title (i.e. house/age problem)
Check Your Work: • Go to My Documents to make sure you have a folder titled “Algebra I” in OneNote. There Should be a section for “Notes” and for “Homework”.
About Stationery and ink: • Set default sections to narrow grid (esp. for “Homework” folder) by going to new page stationery – more stationery options and choices – right click very narrow grid (as downloaded from homework site) – set as default for this section • Use black or blue ink for “Homework”. You are free to use any color you want for “Notes”.
